Scott & Tara DeCiantis
Founders of Forge Wellness

Forge Wellness is the life calling of Scott and Tara DeCiantis. By prioritizing their physical, mental, and spiritual health, they are pursuing “the good life” that Jesus described in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5. Scott and Tara have a method that delivers mental clarity, emotional stability, physical well-being, and purpose found in following Jesus. They are dedicated to guiding others to joyfully pursue growth in these crucial areas of wellness.

Scott struggled for years through poor emotional health, opiate addiction, and self-defeating patterns.  He continues to pursue all areas of wellness in his own life and has learned that these areas are connected – improving in one area sets him up to improve in others.  As he continues to grow and develop personally and lead his family daily, it’s his passion to encourage others to press forward and seek the path God has for them.

Scott has experienced healing and wants others to experience the healing God has for them, and of course “the good life”, which delivers mental clarity, emotional stability, physical well-being, and purpose found in following Jesus. This is especially relevant given that chronic disease is plaguing our country.  Heart disease continues to be the number one killer, but rates of cancer, diabetes, and dementia are all projected to continue rising, despite billions of dollars being spent on research to treat them.  Scott wants others to understand the steps they can take to reduce their risk of these diseases, because this goes way beyond genetics and bad luck.

During their journey, Scott and Tara have learned that the message of the Gospel is simple, but following Jesus well is often challenging. Incorporating new habits that build on the four key areas of wellness can guide us to follow the example of Jesus we understand from scripture. While salvation only requires that we say yes to Jesus, following Jesus well requires us to actively pursue a greater understanding of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As Scott often says, there are no shortcuts to spiritual formation, and this is also true of developing wellness. When prioritizing physical, spiritual, mental, and social wellness, people often experience tremendous success as these interconnected areas build on each other.

Scott and Tara have four children together, and are raising them to value habits and perspectives that they did not learn at a young age. They hope that by developing habits toward wellness at a young age, their children will find purpose earlier than they did, and will be great examples for others!
